Why can't they figure out what's wrong with me?

This is a hard concept to grasp for most of us. Why can’t doctors figure out what’s wrong with us? It stands to reason that with today’s advanced modern technologies, there would be plenty of ways to figure out what’s going on in our bodies and how to fix it.
Growing up you’re taught to trust your doctors and that they know what’s best because they have studied all these possible diseases and illnesses and can help you. Unfortunately that’s just not how the world works and you have to find the RIGHT doctors to trust and not just assume they know what to do.
Chronic Illness isn't a one size fits all. Everyone manifests symptoms differently & you can start to exhibit symptoms unrelated to your condition if left untreated long enough. For instance if you've had endometriosis for years undiagnosed you might start having chronic migraines, indigestion, or severe constipation. Now none of these are necessarily directly related to having endometriosis however HAVING endometriosis for years untreated or diagnosed will start to cause other areas of your body to shut down. Endometrial lesions can attach themselves to every organ in your body. This is one of the reasons its so hard to get a diagnosis.
Even the best doctors make mistakes because of the lack of knowledge and awareness in the field. Obviously there are no guarantees in life & doctors also make it clear they can’t guarantee any results but it is so defeating to hear a doctor tell you that you have to have a procedure done to survive but there’s no guarantee it will help with your pain or agony. Living everyday in mental and physical agony should be a bigger priority in the health field. Hopefully with so many of us finally sharing our stories and spreading awareness, one day it will be.
